Age, the new rage is a collaboration between two movement artists, Bernice Wang and Gurmukhi Bevli. Gurmukhi moves and dances donning a piece handsewn by bernice, made up of all that impacts their ever evolving understanding of what it means to be sustainable.
The dress is a patchwork of media references, old costumes, and parts of personal history. IT is constructed thoughtfully to best provoke movement from the dancer: the light tulle calls for a spin, the beads want a shake, and the broad shoulders empower stance.
